The BANDA A VAPORE (The “Steam-Band”) introduces the authors of the Italian pop music "stopping at all the stations." For this reason the concert begins with the simulate departure of a train. BANDA A VAPORE is the imaginary locomotive with a numerous group of wind-brass instruments. The public is involved as passenger in a travel on the tracks of the Italian music getting horizons of swing and jazz with absolute originality.

BANDA A VAPORE was born in 2003. It collects in its artistic project a trained platoon of musicians:  MASSIMO DOLFI (Singer), pyrotechnic protagonist of the scene, helped by CLAUDIO BECHI (Guitar), SIMOBE BURALLI (Piano) and SIMONE NAVIRAGNI (Bass). The drummer is GIANLUCA DI STASI (drum-set). GINO LA MONTAGNA  (Trumpet) and FILIPPO BRILLI (Sax) create the band with their virtuosity and ALBERTO ROSSI plays with every sort of wood instruments.

In July 2008 they won the selection for the international music Festival “Sete Sois Sete Luas (www.7sois7luas.com)”. They participate in the edition 2009 of the Festival “Concerts Mediterranean area” (Cordoba 11-12 September).

For more than 10 yers, the exuberant music band is active in Tuscany and offers unforgettable moments of emotions swing and pop.

To listen to La Banda a Vapore playing is like to see a musical feline moving freely in its habitat.  It’s the Italian music moving in its natural environment. This music is hunting: it scrutinises around, it is made of emotions, feelings, memories, lives.

It is live music, you can feel its heat, hear its roar, smell the meat and the blood! Here you can find the most important Italian authors from 1940 on. No cd, no bases, no special effects, nothing embalmed: the BANDA A VAPORE  celebrates the Italian live Song.

Ballads, “tarantella”, spaghetti & jazz, BANDA A VAPORE  wants to pick up the swing shiver which kindly crosses the Italian music since the '50s (Carosone, Buscaglione) up to our times (Conte,  Capossela).  During the run the greatest names of the Italian music are touched (from Jannacci to Caputo, from De Gregori to De Andrè, from Celentano to Concato).
